6. How is looking at a newspaper different from our use of social media to stay connected/

Newspapers are very different from social media in good and bad ways. One of the reasons that looking at a newspaper is different from the use of social media is because on social media, the public gets to control what our news actually is. We are also to publicly share our ideas and thoughts about the news too. Newspapers do not allow us to do this because a group of people decide what news should be important to us. However, this can be a good thing because social also has many distractions and at times the news that you see on Twitter or Instagram can be considered irrelevant. The news in the Newspaper is almost always relevant and important in one way or another. But it is honestly just a preference. Some people may like having the option to "follow" whomever they want to receive specific news and updates while others may want something set and already played out for them.
